Dongfang Yang received his PhD in Physical Chemistry from University of Guelph in 1995. Now he is a Senior Research Officer at National Research Council Canada. His research interests include laser material processing; pulsed laser and sputtering deposition of thin films; materials development for energy devices, chemical and optical sensors. In his career, he has authored 3 book chapters, 1 patent, and 60 scientific articles. He is currently serving as Member of Editorial Board for 5 scientific journals. He also held the Adjunct Professorship both at Western University and Lakehead University in Canada

Vladimir Sobolev is a professor at the Department of Physics of the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. Dr. Sobolev earned his M.S. Degree from the Kharkov State University in Ukrainian SSR; he earned his Ph.D. in Physical & Mathematical Sciences from Donetsk Physics & Technology Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR; obtained his Habilitation Degree of Doctor of Physical & Mathematical Sciences from The Supreme Attestation Committee of the USSR. During his teaching and research career Dr. Sobolev taught in Ukraine, Taiwan and the U.S.A.

His main research interests are in wide range of properties of materials with spontaneous polarization (ferroelectric, magnetic, and magnetoelectric substances), phase transitions in materials with spontaneous polarization, kinetic and relaxational behavior of systems of interacting quasiparticles in substances subjected to the action of intense external alternating fields (magnetic and electric fields), optical properties of magnetic and magnetoelectric materials, and properties of high-temperature superconducting materials. Results of his research have been published in more than 300 articles. His results were presented in more than 150 presentations at different conferences. He authored several invention patents on methods of measurements of parameters of thin magnetic films.

Davis L. Ford is an Adjunct Professor in the College of Engineering, the University of Texas at Austin and a Visiting Professor of Petroleum Engineering at Texas Tech University, Lubbock. He is practicing environmental engineer with over forty-five years of experience in the field. In addition, he serves on the faculty at The University of Texas at Austin as an adjunct professor, has published more than one hundred technical papers, has co-authored or contributed to ten textbooks and written two biographies and co-authored one children’s book. He has lectured extensively throughout the United States and in countries of Europe, South America and Asia. Ford received his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering at Texas A&M University and his master and doctorate degrees in environmental engineering at The University of Texas at Austin. He is a Distinguished Engineering Graduate of both Texas A&M University and The University of Texas at Austin as well as a Distinguished Alumnus of Texas A&M. Ford was elected into the prestigious National Academy of Engineering (NAE). He has served as president of the American Academy of Environmental Engineers and chairman of the Academy Ethics Committee. His honorary affiliations include Tau Beta Pi, Sigma Xi and Chi Epsilon. Ford serves on the Board of a publicly-owned oil and exploration company (CWEI, NASDAQ) and the Board of the Texas A&M University Press.

Professor Ramesh K. Agarwal is the William Palm Professor of Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis. From 1994 to 2001, he was the Sam Bloomfield Distinguished Professor and Executive Director of the National Institute for Aviation Research at Wichita State University in Kansas. From 1978 to 1994, he worked in various scientific and managerial positions at McDonnell Douglas Research Laboratories in St. Louis. He became the Program Director and McDonnell Douglas Fellow in 1990. Dr. Agarwal received Ph.D in Aeronautical Sciences from Stanford University in 1975, M.S. in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Minnesota in 1969 and B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India in 1968. Ashok Batra has completed his PhD at the age of 28 years from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. With more than 24 years of experience in the diverse areas of solid state physics/materials and their applications, he is presently a Professor of Physics. He is currently engaged in research related to the development of ambient energy harvesting and storage devices, nano particle-based chemical sensors, and organic photo voltaic solar cells. He has obtained various research grants as the principal or co-investigator from the U. S. Army/SMDC, NSF, DHS and NASA. The NASA grant was related to the International Micro gravity Laboratory-1 experiment flown aboard the Space Shuttle Discovery. A recipient of a NASA Group Achievement award and the Alabama A&M University School of Arts and Sciences Researcher of the Year award, he has published over 180 publications, including two book, book chapters, proceedings, review articles, and NASA TMs. Batra is a member of SPIE, MRS, AES, and AAS. He is an editorial board member of refereed international journal: Advanced Science, Engineering and Medicine.

Najid Ahmad has more than 40 international publications in prestigious journals.
